I Went to Pizza 4P’s in Saigon and Now I’m Emotionally Attached to Prosciutto

Preview

Okay, so I finally did it.
After hearing literally everyone rave about Pizza 4P’s, I caved. With no booking (risky!), we managed to get a table at their Le Thanh Ton location in Ho Chi Minh City (yeah, the one that always seems fully booked), and I went in with high expectations and an empty stomach.

The entrance is kind of hidden, like one of those speakeasy bars — except instead of cocktails and jazz, it’s mozzarella and wood-fired ovens. Honestly? Way better. Google maps directions however are very helpful so be sure to follow along.

First impressions? Vibes.

The inside feels like a Pinterest board: dim lighting, open kitchen, chefs throwing dough in the air like it’s a sport. You get a whiff of melting cheese and charred crust the second you walk in. I almost teared up.

Let’s talk food. I didn’t come to play.

Started off strong with their homemade burrata — and when I say homemade, I mean made in Vietnam, daily. The thing practically melted when I cut into it. Paired with heirloom tomatoes like a damn Monet painting on a spoon.

Free entreé!

Then, the main event: pizza. I made a very bold choice (I’m a Pepperoni Pizza ONLY type of gal) and went for the Extra Parma Ham Margherita Pizza for a different experience, and I was happily impressed. Saleem went for the Spicy Beef Kebab Pizza that looked equally delicious.

Filled to the brim! Literally, there was no empty space in this pizza, and I was beyond happy with it because I hate it when I’m given an empty pizza, kind of like I’m eating a Margarita without asking for it.

Final thoughts while in a cheese coma:

  • This isn’t your average pizza place. It’s artisan top level.

  • They make their own cheese. In Vietnam. That alone should impress you.

  • It’s not cheap-cheap, but for the quality? 100% worth it.

  • Get a reservation. Or risk heartbreak.

  • I’m already planning my next visit and I can’t wait to come back!

Would I go again?
Do pineapples belong on pizza? (Don’t answer that.)
Yes. Yes, I would.
